2 Simple Steps To Keep Interior Windows Clean
Just had your windows cleaned and want to keep them looking sparkly-fresh for longer?
Follow our simple, two-step guide to learn how to easily keep your inside windows back to looking glass-quality sparkle in a jiffy.
Step 1 - Make your own cleaning solution.
Plain old white vinegar and rubbing alcohol are do-all miracle products that will help you power through your windows in a flash.
Vinegar brings the cleaning guns of the operation, while rubbing alcohol helps the cleaning solution to dry quickly and minus streaks.
Mix together 1.5 cups water, 1.5 tbsp white vinegar, and1.5 tbsp rubbing alcohol. You can even add a few drops of your favorite essential oil (so your nose doesn’t combust from the pong!). Use a funnel to pour into and combine in a clean spray bottle. Mark the outside with a Sharpie so you remember what it is!
Step 2 - Use the right amount of product.
Most people make the mistake of over-saturating with cleaning solution. If you use too much, you'll end up spending most of your time and energy wiping off the excess rather than actually cleaning.
Instead, mist the surface of the windows with your cleaning solution, and then wipe with a squeegee or dry microfiber cloth folded into quarters. This folding method maximizes surface area, so when one side of your cloth is dirty and wet, you can simply refold it and flip it over to reveal a clean side. And hey presto, eight cleaning cloths in one!
